In view of our numerous sins, and the magnitude of each one of them, the world cannot possibly exist with merely a small measure of forgiveness from Hashem. Thus we thank Hashem the merciful one who is greatly forgiving for all of the sins of His beloved children who wish to return and repent from their ways.
