ושים חלקנו עמהם
AND SET OUR LOT WITH THEM

We pray to Hashem that we should forever be in the company of the righteous, for it is our supreme desire in life to join together with the genuine Torah-scholars whose lives exemplify the ways of the Torah (RMBM, Deos 6:2). Included in this prayer is that we should be zocheh to aid the righteous in their virtuous efforts, and also that we should emulate their good deeds and their middos tovos. For all of the above we pray, “ושים חלקנו עמהם”.
