Shalom is the blessing of blessings. All of the countless blessings of Hashem must join together as one to form the great blessing and gift of Shalom. “Good, blessing, favor, kindliness and mercy”, these are all subdivisions of Shalom, for without them, Shalom couldn’t exist. In our request for Shalom, we specify all of the subdivisions and details as well, in order that we become more and more aware of Hashem’s kindnesses upon us, and our gratitude and our trust in Hashem can continue to grow to perfection.
