FOR GENERATION AND GENERATION

These words can be understood as both an ending to the previous statement, as well as a beginning to the next. “You are the Rock of our lives and the shield of our salvation from generation to generation”. You have been and will always be the Rock and the Shield of Your People Yisroel; and “from generation to generation we shall thank You and relate Your praise”. We not only thank You for the kindnesses which You bestow upon us, but even for the past kindnesses that You bestowed upon our forefathers we are indebted forever, and we will forever continue to thank You, from “generation to generation”.
