WE SHALL THANK YOU AND WE SHALL RELATE YOUR PRAISE

All our thanks are solely לך, to You, and to no other cause. “We shall thank You”, that is, between us and You, with our mouths and with our deeds; and “we shall relate Your praise” to others, and spread the knowledge of Your kindness and greatness among all men. We shall relate nothing, nor will we get enthusiastic about anything, but תהלתך; our tales will not speak of war or romance or adventure, only “Your praise”, and nothing else.
