What was the purpose why Hakodosh Boruch Hu has malachim that praise Him? Who cares? What does that do for us?
A:
Oh, why are malachim praising Hashem? Very important! נקדש את שמך בעולם כשם שמקדישים אותך בשמי מרום. We have to follow them; they’re our example. They’re our example. That’s why הַמִּתְפַּלֵּל צָרִיךְ שֶׁיְּכַוֵּן אֶת רַגְלָיו, when you daven you put your feet together like a malach. Because our job in life is to emulate the malachim.
Once the mashgiach in Mirrer Yeshiva asked a bochur, “What do malachim do all the time?”
He doesn’t know.
So the mashgiach said, “It says תמיד מספרים כבוד ק-ל – they are speaking always about the honor of Hashem. That’s what the malachim do.”
So that’s our job. Always speak about the honor of Hashem. Don’t be ashamed. Speak about the honor of Hashem always. And then you’ll be emulating the malachim. That’s why you say, כשם שמקדישים אותו בשמי מרום, just like they do, that’s what we have to do.
