Q:

What’s your opinion on the protests on the college campuses? And what should be done about it?

A:

The typical college student is a wicked fool but he doesn’t begin to realize it because he is so enamored of himself.  That’s typical of the ignorant college student – he’s so enamored of himself that he doesn’t begin to suspect how wicked he is. He is steeped in every form of degradation while at the same time complimenting himself for his virtue. That’s always the hallmark of the ignoramus.
That’s why college boys are so eager to rise in arms for righteousness, for justice, to protest against everything and everyone, but themselves, their own wickedness, they fail to see. So the college boys and the college professors, they’re full of righteousness against everybody. They’re protesting against everything except against their own wickedness. They don’t realize that they are the lowest.
It’s not an exaggeration. In American society the dregs, the scum of society are the college boys and girls.  That’s why elsewhere you find prostitutes who work for money. But on the campus they do it voluntarily.
So these wicked people, what do you expect from them? מרשעים יצא רשע – From the wicked comes wickedness (Shmuel I 24:14).
What to do about them, about the riots? Something has to be done. I remember a few years ago when the students were protesting on a campus in Kent, Ohio, so the National Guard shot down four students. The whole country was up in arms, how could the army do such a thing. But I was thinking that they deserved to be shot down. They were ruining the campus, these bums. They deserved it. No question about it. I sent a letter to the government and congratulated them for shooting them.
