What do you think when it comes to the debate about prayer in public school?

A:

I agree with the Lubavitcher rebbe, in my humble opinion.  He said yes.  Prayer is necessary. Don’t worry about the form of prayer.  Voluntary prayer in public school, we should push. And if you’re not lazy, take a postcard and write – two postcards; one to Senator Moynihan and one to Senator D’Amato. And urge them to vote for public prayer.

It’s very important because we have to get the public schools back, at least a little bit, on an even keel, back to a minimum of decency. Because they’re running wild today.  And prayer is something that’s going to be a steadying influence.
