Rav Avigdor Miller on Are the Resha’im Endangering Us?

Q:
What does the Rav say about the news that the State of Israel has sent Aryeh Deri to prison?

A :
I must say that the resha’im in Eretz Yisroel are trying to stamp out Torah, chas ve’shalom. They would love to put Ha’Rav Ovadiah Yosef in prison as well. They already discussed bringing him in for a hearing, for questioning, because he insulted the great “tzadik– I don’t like to say his name – Yossi Sarid, yemach shemo.

And therefore, we have today one of the very worst scenarios in our history. Jewish atheists are organized as the leaders of a so-called Jewish state. Don’t think it’s a small thing! And not only there, but in America as well. In Eretz Yisroel and America there is a very great sakana.

The resha’im in Eretz Yisroel have no equal – no equal at all – in our history. There was never anything even comparable to today’s resha’im. And the resha’im in America, as well, have no equal in our history. Did we ever hear of such a thing – that Reform “Rabbis” came together and said that if you are a mishkav zochornik you can be a Rabbi? So now a new Rabbi was welcomed to the Reform Congregation in Baltimore. The New York Times was so excited. It proclaimed proudly on the front page – Baltimore Congregation Welcomes It’s New Rabbi and His Partner. His partner?!! Chas ve’shalom! Oy vey, Oy vey! What a shame! What a busha! And now the Reform Rabbis made a motion to accept same-sex marriages. They want to make chuppa v’kiddushin between two menuvulim. Chas ve’shalom! This never happened before!

I want to tell you with all seriousness that we have to be very worried. You have to be worried. In Europe did they think something so terrible would happen? Nobody dreamed it would happen. Jews in Germany walked around secure. And some were very wealthy. They had full rights. It was a civilized country. Who dreamed that this country would do such a thing? The Germans were the most polite people in the world. They were so polite to everybody.

I passed through Germany before Hitler was there. I was there and everyone was so polite.

Who could even dream of such a thing? The answer is that Hakodosh Boruch Hu waits. He waits and waits. And then when the time comes He does what He has to do, chas ve’shalom. We have to be very much afraid.

So what can we do? We, the shi’eiris Yisroel – the small number of frum Jews that remain – have to be michazeik ourselves, to increase and multiply, to have big families, to raise children to go bi’derech haTorah, and to go bi’darkei ha’kedusha and to become better in quantity and quality as much as possible. And then – ulai, ulai yochus. Ulai yeracheim.

It’s very important to know that we are in great danger. It’s not so simple at all.
