Rav Avigdor Miller on Assimilation in the Public School

print
Q:
How can we prevent the assimilation of Jewish children who are in public schools?

A:
The question is, how can one prevent himself from drowning in the Atlantic Ocean. And the answer is, keep your feet dry. Anybody who wants to take a dip in the Atlantic Ocean has to know that he’d better be a good swimmer. And children do not know how to swim against assimilation!  So the only answer is not to go. If  a Jewish child is enrolled in public school, then he’s enrolled in a top-notch course in assimilation, and the there’s very little you can do for him while he’s there.
