Rav Avigdor Miller on Global Warming, Flushing Toilets, Saving Money and Donating Blood

print
Q:
Is global warming something we should be concerned about? Is it possible for the human race to actually destroy the earth or will Hashem protect the earth no matter what?

A:
Man-made global warming is just one of the bluffs of the liberals. That’s all it is. There’s nothing to it at all.

Q:
You mentioned tonight that we have to learn how to keep our mouths closed. But sometimes isn’t it better to just open my mouth and get the frustration off my chest?
A:
Yes. Absolutely. Go into the bathroom, close the door and flush the toilet. And when nobody could hear you, say it. Say what you have to say.

Q:
I’m working hard at my job and I daven to Hashem but I’m still not able to put away money for savings. So maybe Hashem just doesn’t want me to be able to save money? [The Rav had mentioned during the shiur the importance of living frugally and saving money.]
A:
Who knows what Hashem wants?! You’re asking me what Hashem wants?! Do your duties, that’s all. That’s what He wants from you.

Q:
Can I donate blood at a local blood drive?
A:
It depends. If you have plenty of blood and you’re a healthy person and you’re doing it for a fellow Jew, why not? Why not? It’s a good thing to help a fellow Jew who needs it. But if you’re an anemic person, חלילה, you’re not able to do it. Certainly not.                                               TAPE #E-172
