What should a wife do if her husband does not want any more children?
A:
So she should disobey him and she should have.
If it means fighting, it’s worth fighting because of a child. Every child is a new world. Like the Rambam says, “Anyone who adds one child to the Jewish nation, it’s as if you built an entire new world” (Hilchos Ishus 15:16). That’s what it means one more child!
Of course, more children is even better; many more children is a tremendous success. Our success in life, if we’re capable of childbearing, is measured by the number of children we have.
