When we say וכל הרשעה כרגע תאבד you have to know what we’re asking for. The first thing we want is that all the reshaim should do teshuva. But fast! We can’t wait for it! And if they’re going to delay, then let them drop dead in the meantime.
That’s why in this bracha we say three times m’heirah. Three times we ask Hashem: “Do it quickly!” That’s more than any other bracha. Because the resha’im are a big danger for everyone. No bracha is as urgent as this bracha. So three times we ask: m’heirah, m’heirah, m’heirah!
So let’s say you pass a Jew for yushkeh handing out leaflets in the street; he wants Jews to become meshumadim. So you say: “Ribono Shel Olam, please lead him b’derech ha’teshuva. In the meantime however, if he doesn’t do it right away, let him drop dead.” We can’t wait! He’s doing us harm in the meantime.
