Why is water clear?
A:
It’s the best thing that it’s clear! If the water would be unclear, that would mean there is something else besides water there. I’ll give you a very simple mashal. How do we know that the water is pure? Only because it’s clear. If water was colored red or blue, you wouldn’t notice the impurities in it, and you would be drinking dirty water. Like when you drink soda, soda is dirty water! But because water is colorless, you can hold up the glass and see – anything in it?
That’s why sometimes, you take a glass of water and if you don’t inspect it, maybe a dead fly is inside of it too. But now that the water is colorless, you can see right away – something is floating in it! It’s a very big benefit that water is colorless.
