ושים חלקנו עמהם
AND SET OUR LOT WITH THEM
May we forever be in the company of the genuine Torah-scholars whose lives exemplify the ways of the Torah, and may we be zoche to aid them in their virtuous efforts, and emulate their good deeds and middos tovos as well.
לעולם
FOREVER
May we forever be in their company, and forever be aiding them and emulating their ways, without any weakness or turning away from them forever. And in this merit, may the reward and blessing that accrues to them also be “our lot”, both in this life and in the Afterlife – לעולם, forever.
ולא נבוש כי בך בטחנו
AND WE SHOULD NOT BE SHAMED FOR WE TRUST IN YOU
Let us not suffer the shame of our trust in You not being realized. May You grant us in the zechus of our trust in You that we too be considered among the righteous, and that our trust be realized together with theirs.
ברוך אתה ה’ משען ומבטח לצדיקים
BLESSED ARE YOU HASHEM, THE SUPPORT AND TRUST FOR THE RIGHTEOUS
We thank You Hashem, for You are “the support” of the righteous, now and always, never forsaking them for even a moment, and You are “their trust” as well, for soon will come the day when You will pay them in full, giving them the “good reward” as they had trusted in You all along.
