SHIELD OF OUR SALVATION
You stand between us and misfortune, and like a shield You prevent misfortune from ever even materializing, so that we are usually entirely unaware of Your great salvation.

YOU ARE HE
“You are He”, and there is no other but You. You alone are our Rock and our Shield, the sole source of all kindliness, and therefore, to You alone we give thanks.
